Introduction
What is Pizug Companion?
Section titled “What is Pizug Companion?”Pizug Companion is a self-hosted server for SAP Integration Suite, Cloud Integration (CPI). You install it once, connect your tenants, and your team opens it in the browser.
It does two kinds of work:
- It keeps what Cloud Integration does not keep. Log Extender stores message logs and attachments beyond the 30 days a tenant keeps them. Artifact History records every change to your integration content, with who saved it and what changed.
- It answers questions the Cloud Integration web UI has no screen for. Where is this credential used? Which flows call this ProcessDirect address? What runs at 02:00? What is deployed but no longer exists in design time? Which certificates expire next month? See Features.
How it is put together
Section titled “How it is put together”- One Docker container, one port, one data volume. No database server, no cluster. To upgrade, start the new image on the same volume. To back up, copy the directory.
- Your data stays with you. Companion runs in your network or your cloud account. It reads your tenants through the public OData API with a service key you create, and deploys nothing to them. The license key is checked locally; the server never calls us.
- Built for a team. User accounts with two roles, HTTPS with your own certificate, several tenants side by side.
Free and licensed
Section titled “Free and licensed”Every tool is available with the free community license, and a community installation already collects logs and artifact history. The enterprise license opens the view of the past: logs older than 7 days and older versions of artifacts. Details are on the Set License page.
Install Companion: it takes about five minutes. To look around first, open the public demo at demo.companion.pizug.com. It is read-only, and the sign-in details are on its login page.
