Set License
Companion needs a license key before its tools appear. The community key is free.
A key is checked on your server only. Companion never contacts us to start or to keep working, so it runs behind a firewall or without internet access.
Get a community key
Section titled “Get a community key”- Go to https://console.pizug.com and log in with your email address. We send a 6-digit login code to it; there is no password to set, and the first login creates your account.
- Under
Mailing lists, subscribe toPizug Tooling Updatesfor important updates. - Under
Pizug Companion license, enter the company name for the license and clickGenerate. - Copy your license key.
The login mail comes from notify@pizug.com. Use an address that can receive mail from pizug.com.
Install the key
Section titled “Install the key”In Companion, open License in the menu, paste the key and save it. The page then shows who the key is licensed to, the plan and the end date, and the tools appear in the menu.
Next: connect your tenants.
Community and enterprise
Section titled “Community and enterprise”One rule: community collects everything, enterprise looks back. Every tool is in both plans, and so is every kind of sync. What the community plan does not open is the view of the past.
| Tool | Community | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|
| Message Logs (Log Extender) | Log sync runs and stores everything. Search and open messages of the last 7 days. | Everything stored, and restoring archived months. |
| Artifacts (Artifact History) | Artifact sync runs, on a schedule too. The current state and the latest change of each artifact. Older versions are listed but locked. | Every version: open, compare any two, download. |
| Flow Diff, Flow Image | The current state of an artifact or the one before. | Any stored version. |
| All other tools | Everything. | The same. |
A community installation collects from the first day. When you move to enterprise, everything collected until then opens.
For an enterprise key, write to hello@pizug.com. Tell us the tenants you want to cover, and you get a quote and, after the order, a key by email.
When a key ends
Section titled “When a key ends”A key has an end date. Nothing locks on that date.
- 30 days before the end the application shows a notice.
- 30 days after the end the plan keeps working as before. Trial keys do not have this period.
- After that the installation continues on the community plan. Collection goes on and nothing stored is deleted. A new key opens all of it again.
Community keys are valid for a year. An expired community key locks nothing; the application asks you to get a fresh free key.
